  • Got some 1200g, 38mm tubs on Novatec hubs that would keep this light but fast.

  • Shiny bike is shiny.

I've got 2 FACT cranksets sitting around here.

  • I’ve got some 2012 red 10 speed levers...

  • Might be interested in a FACT crankset to swap in instead of the Red one...

  • Frame looks lovely. But why did you buy aluminium over carbon ?

  • Its more HHSRB than a Specialized Tarmac.
    And probably 1-2k cheaper...
Also the newer Allez sprints are super rad as well!

  • Sounds cool .more money for groupset. :-)

  • Hip Hop points/ rarity plus I do like non-carbon frames and this is about as good as alloy gets!

Sprint frame is amazing too though.

  • but this allez is far better

  • So the frame is currently at mail redirection depot in New Jersey awaiting customs clearance (quiver/ gulp).

I've acquired a Sram Red 22 gruppo consisting of front and rear derailleur, crankset and shifters.
I need to get brakes and I think I'm just going to get the Red brakes to match the rest of the groupset.
I'm strongly considering selling the Red crankset and purchasing an S-Works FACT crankset. Massive weight saving of 4g and increased stiffness being the obvious deciding factors here.

I can't decide what hubs to go for. I'm leaning towards Tune Mig/ Mag but I don't particularly want to pay for a new set and I'm kicking myself that I didn't buy the set someone sold on here for £150 a while ago...
Any other recommendations for lightweight hubs that aren't silly money? I'm probably going to go for some LightBicycle Chinese crabon rims but can't decide if I want tubular or clincher and whether I want low profile for the weight non-gainz or deep profile for the aero gainz? Also unsure of how many spokes I'll want to be having, I'm about 80kg-ish.

Still kind of keen on the Deda Elementi Superleggero finishing kit but I'll have a think about that and any suggestions welcome.

I'll take some pictures of the groupset tomorrow. There's a terrible lack of photos here so far.

  • I’d say superzero finishing kit, still light, but more hench and aero.

S works cranks are awesome, the previous gen looks better than the latest one I think.

In terms of wheels, the correct answer is both. Deeper aero wheels AND lower profile lightweight. You should be able to get it below 7kg easily, and 6kg with some lightweight wheels and parts.

  • 127g difference between Superzero and Superleggero for bars/stem/seatpost...

May have some 38mm tubs mentioned above coming my way to get started but I definitely see the value in having an aero set and a light set for this bike.

  • Superzero bars are comfy and more aero however.
I do have a 90mm Deda superleggero RS limited stem if you decide to go that way...

  • With superleggero the weight is insane... 188 verified grams for my bars

  • I also have some crit bits for sale - stealthed Uno stem and Hylix carbon bars and post, all black on black. The bars are aeronova copies so pretty rowdy.

What seatpost size do you need?

  • ...PM'd pics of wheels

  • Seatpost is 27.2mm. Replied re:wheels.

Do send on pics and specs on those other bits too and I'll take a peep!

  • Will do - hopefully London's criterium circuit loss can be your slave gain.

  • Perch in post - 92g
Will need to be retrimmed so might have a look and see if I could come up with a slave leather option perhaps?

  • This is going to be bling bling bling!

  • aim for that!

    and not that

  • That second one is so brash I kind of like it. Subtler than a Cippollini at least.

  • Worst part being the side load bottles and the pink on the hoods. Otherwise slave
