New fork on, much slimmer/lighter than the one it came with and I’m liking the simple gun metal finish.

I’d like a small amount of contrast to the green but I’m not enjoying the flag vibes. Might have a hook on a blue number but for now I’ll stick with silver.

Bit less lumpy looking than Omnium’s?

Stem is a place holder, bars need rotating down a little. I like it

Good fork purchases! Those caad10 tracks are hard to get right but yours is pretty good. The fork is good but the amount of silvers/greys makes it a bit busy maybe?
Also gonna leave this here:

Tell us more about that middle fork, it looks interesting.

Mash steel?

Maybe a black chainring? Aarn would be nice but i'm pretty sick of track stuff prices lately. I'll probably tape the front track to clean it up and think i can lower/longer but want to do a few proper rides first.
Yeah that 8 is lovely but i'll stick with my 9 for now. I'm already wrestling with the amount of time i'm wasting on bikes i hardly ride!

Yep, picked up a new Mash Works fork thinking "oh, i should buy another cheap steamroller and throw this on...". But Brexit/Covid/Tracklocross happened.
The adaptor was to let me try it on the Dart, did not look good with a 44m headtube.

Really nice.
Perhaps a Silver post?

I usually find your bike visually very pleasing but this one doesn't really look cool in my eye, your capo look so much better
-

Yeah I'm on the fence. The Capo was really liked and more than good enough for me on the track. The 10 was a bargain so I might just hang it up and forget about it for now.

I need some validation/criticism about my bikes
1) I like the Caad10 track!
2) Saw your girlfriends Datum in another thread. It’s very good. Do you ride together? And if you do, what do you ride when she’s on that? I don’t see any “allroad” bikes in your stable -

Cheers guys. I really don't think I have a need/use for a track bike and a snazzy sunny day skidder so the frame will probably do both. Think the 10 will be better on the track but I do think the Capo is a little bit more interesting/better looking.

Do you ride together?
Not much these days unfortunately, we've done some touring and day rides together. I used a CAAD for touring which was fine. We would like to do some "all road" riding together as we have friends on the coast and in the peaks but in the event of that happening I'll probably just stick some 32's on the Dart and lower the gearing!

Well well, think I actually prefer the o.g fork to the Alpina, the older high spoke wheels to the newer lower spoke wheels and possibly the CAAD to the Capo. Today.

If I scroll up through the pics I prefer the alpina, if I scroll down through them I prefer stock

The white og Capo forks look nice. I prefer it with black wheels, no tan-walls.
Caad10 Track with the new fork looks fantastic.
You have a lot of bike-overlap :)

This is the first CAAD 10 track I've seen that I like, good stuff!

Cheers, it's not the prettiest but i took it to the track on Saturday and really enjoyed it. Black faux Zen ring looked a bit shit so i'll be going with a silver 75 for now. Lower spoke count wheels with LF front hub worked nicely so just need to sort cockpit (cheers @Maj just spotted your photochop).
Took the Bowman out this morning and was reminded what a nice frame it is. That said, I don't really enjoy local road riding and with HHV hopefully being my main leisure riding this year I'm gonna follow the crowd and rebuild the 9.
Next choice is between the Capo and CAAD10 for the track. After getting some nice compliments on the Capo at the track my initial thinking was to keep it as the track bike. "it's much nicer than that hideous new one" etc. There's also a few 10's at the track already. But after thinking on it I think I'd like the better track frame to be used for the track so I'm gonna try the 10. Doing this will free up the Capo to be my little used summer skidder. It's all very interchangeable so switch easily.
Like the 9 the 10 is a little aesthetically challenged but I actually really like the paint work. It's very well done and has a certain late 80's early 90's vibe so the plan is to work with this and keep the components a bit more classic. Gonna put it together today so we'll see how it pans out.
