Bernal looked impervious last year and i thought we'd be in for a decade of dominance. Seems i know about as much as Kirby about cycling

Bernal looked absolutely fucked. He's got to do some big damage on the longer climbs, that seems like the only place he can make any time up. My mates Pog and Rog are untouchable on this short(er) punchy ๐ ๐ถ๐๐ธ๐๐๐๐.

It wasnโt even an attack. More a look of โSafe bro, weโll take it from hereโ

The punchy parcours designed for the French climbers (alaphillipe, Pinot, etc) seem to be more suited to the Slovenians at the moment.
I think the Columbians are likely to band together next week.

Apologies for my error.
I'll read up and correct my understanding.
Please let me know if you are satisfied with my indicated correction. -

Cba with Roglic procession to Paris. More boring than Froome?? Who knows what the high mountains will bring but with his lead, TT and seemingly unwavering form is hard to see anything but a procession

Very happy to see Martinez take his form to a win, still hate the goatee

Nah donโt apologise just ask your missus to make one of those pogacas and send them my way. Lived in Turkey for two years and miss the food ๐

It could get tasty if Pogecar eats into those 44s ๐ฅ ๐ฅ ๐ฅ

Ah, I read it as "Do you even TDF Bruv?" - Must watch again
-

There's loads of racing left yet. Wouldn't like to call it, but Roglic is in the box seat for now.

Mollema reported to have broken his wrist in that crash that caused him to abandon.
-
• #940
Surgery necessary, that's his season over unfortunately.

Hardly imperious.
A neutralised stage gifted him the lead. Ineos defended on a shortened final stage.
Bernal has been overhyped by the Inneos marketing machine and Brailsfords confirmation bias. IMO
I don't like his riding style in case you couldn't tell.

• #942
Gifted? He rode away from everyone else in the race when the race was very definitely on.

I'm far from an ineos fan. I'm enjoying the fact their Tempo train isn't dictating the results, but I think bernal is clearly an exceptional talent

Considering the level and condition of everyone at the time, I donโt think there was anyone who would have caught up with Bernal on that stage or the following ones, other than maybe Thomas. Bernal was the strongest and most consistent of that Tour, even with his shaky start.
This year though, Roglic currently looks undeniable.
Iโd rank Evenepoel above Bernal for future GT success assuming he can hack it over 3 weeks. His combination of w/kg, low weight and TT ability is ridiculous.
However Bernal is 23, heโs not even close to his peak years yet.

With all this said, there have been promising GT riders who have had early success that amounted to very little. Damiano cunego and his solitary Giro victory at 23 comes to mind.

Hey no probs... hepsi iyi..

Hopefully this will lead to exciting attacking racing from Ineos.
I thought that Sivakov went up the road so that he would be there in the event of Bernal attacking. Saw him coming in a couple of minutes after Bernal with Alaphillipe.

I had a dream early on in the tour that Dumoulin would ride really well in his super-domestique role throughout the tour, holding on to a top 10 spot, sky style, then accidentally win the whole thing in the tt.

Bardet diagnosed with concussion after his crash today, won't start tomorrow.
yeah he looked quite fresh still whereas bernal was gasping by the end
