If I stood on the roadside for 6hrs+ with 000's of other people to see the race whizz by and got one of the 170 ish discarded musettes i'd treasure it like a lottery win.

You can go watch near the designated waste disposal areas or maybe 10k from the feed areas and you'll have better luck.
