Not sure about these Ineos tactics, burning off domestiques before the actual climb. I have been enjoying watching their tempo trains disintegrate.

And now pulling with no clear reason, why don't they leave it to Mitchelton?

These crowds have to be a worry

Not sure if I'd fancy cycling through everyone shouting and screaming so close to me for 3 weeks.

Doesn't look a particularly fierce pace. I think they'd just prefer to dictate the speed and be at the front to monitor attacks.

Yeah I can’t see it making Paris at this rate. Also lack of comment on it is odd

ITV technical issues?

For a route which was meant to stimulate exciting racing, it’s been a damp squib so far hasn’t it?

Roglic is going to sprint and gain a couple of seconds as normal right?

I thought someone would get their team to ride a hard pace up the main climb of the day, just to see if anyone didn’t have the legs. Instead Ineos rode a steady tempo which troubled no-one.

Did WVA just say on ITV4 that his longest indoor cycling session on lockdown was 11 hours?

i thought he was saying he had an 8-hour and 11-hour day on gravel? wasn't paying attention.
geoffrey soupe got a callout yesterday for leading someone out in the intermediate sprint.
also, i might have missed something, but are they offering GC bonus seconds for mountain and sprint points?

11 hour gravel day presumably "dirty kanzelled"?
-
• #348
I’m mainly impressed by 322km covered and only 564m elevation.
-
• #349
That makes more sense as it was a piece on different training courtesy of lockdown and everybody else was talking Zwift

the DK video is worth a watch, starring laurens ten dam, terpstra, WvA etc

ultimately with the TT late in the tour Roglic can afford to be relatively defensive and use his mountain train to prevent big attacks and then snipe a handful of seconds with an attack in last km.
He might do more, but currently he doesnt have to
