  • That has to be worth buying just to use as a build kit even at that price!

  • Guyz it's still a Ā£3.5k bicycle

  • Hey I could ride that

  • That headtube>fork though šŸ˜±

  • You're secretly just after a dropper post, aren't you ;-)

  • I don't think there is a graceful way of doing it with a unicrowb without massive tubing or going for an segmented crown, both of which would push the expense up I'd imagine.

Besides, you wouldn't even see it as soon as you had bags on and it loaded up.

  • It'd instantly have a front rack with panniers on it from me. I use a unicrown fork now and couldn't give two shits how it looks. As far as I'm concerned, geometry aside, that's a lot of bike for the money. Fresh lick of paint and it's rocking.

  • Geometry looks like it's for drop bars rather than flat bars.

  • Not now, not never! :0)

That's my thinking though.....if it can take 29+ wheels (or even just 29") then it's a cheap all things for all people bike.....I love my stache, and it is indeed light, but when (one day) I build my own frame, it won't be an awful lot different to that.

  • Surly Ogre is now disc brake only. Sad times.

  • Damn it. Thatā€™s one nice bike there.

  • You could braze on mounts for paul brakes if you wish

  • Their reasoning is that there aren't many 29er wide-enough-for-MTB rim-brake rims about these days. Which I have found to be true as well. They also make the valid point that if you want MTB rim brake wheels you're better off on 26" (i.e. Troll).

I really like that Ribble from above.

  • Does look pretty good though, and I dislike Surlys generally.

  • Saw that Decathlon Ā£3.5k beast instore today, it's not vapourware

  • Hope to buy it in a sale then get a custom paint job if you don't like the decathlon styling?

  • Did you get a good feel for handling and power transfer between the camping and football aisles?

  • Too busy with the duck decoys in the hunting section

  • is there a consensus pick for best value women's 2019 bike at Ā£1,000-1,200 ?

  • from brother cycles' facebook:

  • There is no 2020 bikes thread but the new roubaix is launched today.

I dont care much about most things except a very welcome move to threaded BBs.

Can someone explain how they have achieved to clear 33c tyres with 415mm chainstay without droopy drive side stay?

    #tukt at 988mm wheelbase in size 54!

  • Can someone explain how they have achieved to clear 33c tyres with 415mm chainstay without droopy drive side stay?

You'd usually accomplish that with either a steep seat tube, curved seat tube, or offset seat tube. None of which seem obvious in the photos

higher BB also helps, but that looks to be pretty low :-/

Edit - just realised you probably mean the chainring clearance..
