Inov8 fell running shoes
Care to confirm the model/number?
-
• #778
I like the Roclite models. I currently have the 285, but I just buy whatever is cheapest.

Many thanks.
The Inov8 I rode on your Felafel Ride are just wearing out. They are TrailRoc 235, but not bought for anyother reason than cheap, (discounted as last years model?), and fluoro yellow,
the bike unfriendly drivers of outer north west London need all the help they can get seeing me. -

If you listen carefully you can hear Howard throwing something at the wall:

• #787
He won't like the angle of those brake levers either.
-
• #788
What's his theoretical beef with those?
-
• #789
I think he used to favour the 'point them forward' approach. Though he may have changed.
Mind you, he was also using sub 500mm bars at one point, so you're best off ignoring him...
-

Pointing them down encourages the rider's weight forward over the bars, thus increasing the risk of unplanned excursions OTB.

In "behaving like a ten your old behind my block of flats" news:
The new shoes and pedals are interesting - I can English bunny hop pretty much as easily as with SPD's, which I wasn't expecting.
However the point of this is to learn the American bunny hop, and I would (charitably) say it's early days yet.
The front-then-back process works, but I'm still to afeared of going off the bike backwards to get the front wheel high enough, and then when I do jump the rear is only coming up a small distance.
One of the YouTube videos I watched said that it's the rear foot that does most of the lift, but my right leg is the one that is complaining, so something to look at there.
Still- I'm performing the American hop, on flats, which was the very first goal.

Back here? I need help. @BareNecessities can tell you of my lack of skillz...
A reasonably well stocked backpack would probably come in at 4kg so I wouldn't panic. As your riding improves you're likely to want a more progressive/stiffer suspension though so it doesn't hurt to constantly fettle.
