Was a really great era for distinctive bikes, DOGS BOLX definitely in the homegrown mix along with Zinn.

I wanted the modern one, but Roberts appear to have stopped taking orders.

Damn, I can't buy them off you now

You’d need a custom steerer anyway, surely.

Cane Creek are quite generous with their steerer tube, as I ended up removing 15mm!

I cut it to 210mm

Repeating myself, but I’m astonished that the Lyrik is the same weight as the Helm.

What's the maximum potential travel of each fork? The Lyrik may have more spare stanchion hidden inside

Is that the weight of the spring which you'd forgotten to put in the Helm?

It’s suspiciously close to the 32lbs figure which I recall from my youth as being about average for a mountain bike.

I’m not worrying about it to be honest- I suspect almost every change I have made to it has made it heavier. I was expecting the coil fork to add half a kilo- surprised when it didn’t.

At Twisted Oaks today- extremely intimidating.
