Hence the need for a good warranty

Is it shit? I don't know.
It's the end of that generation. Go check out a review of the new 2019 Stumpy.

Money solves all problems.

Especially bike related ones.
-
• #59
True. I suspect I’d need around 8k to complete that Open though
-
• #60
just pick one of these. as I said none of them will disappoint and all are reasonably specced/priced and with a good warranty from what I've read:

£8k well spent.
It’s probably equivalent to two weeks of Porsche ownership.... -
• #62
The Porsche has cost me nothing since March 3rd, that’s going to change on Friday however.
-
• #63
If you order an Open through me tomorrow, the cost of it will surely help desnsitize your wallet from the inevitable pain that the Porsche invoice will cause on Friday.
Win/win.

120mm travel 29er with 67.5 degree head angle, then go for something not too far off that.
you want a XC full sus bike, 120mm travel.
I'd be curious about the Orange Stage 4 as some kind of do-it-all bike. Kit it out with Hope components and whatever 120mm fork you fancy in one of their banging colours and get feelz from giving a British company your money.
Nice and simple layout, from a company that you'd hope would look after you.

yeah, good shout, always liked an orange
-
• #66
Yeah I'd really like to try one. Doesn't look like you can mount a bottle to it though or am I being blind?
-
• #67
indeed, no bottle mounts, would be hose clamp time
-
• #68
Not a fan of that idea tbh.

Orange Stage 4
When did the budget double?
-
• #70
It’s quadrupled now.
-
• #71
There’s a budget?
-
• #72
Ah well. Time to break out the new Eagle Etap 12spd groupset.
-
• #73
Or there's this, for £10k
-

Bottle cage on a mountain bike are you mad ! or looking at serious XC racing.

The Jeffsy is still the best choice though... if you want to spend more money just buy a CF Race one...
Lefty Ocho <3
Seriously though just buy a Jeffsy.
