TBF, that ad might be correct: they don't say how often you're going to have to do it.
-
• #4154
Nor whether it will actually make any difference

Front rotor with the calliper spaced out 3mm, rear without the 2mm spacers (and the un-swept ring around the perimeter) which I'll be taking care of now that my 2mm spacers have arrived.

How rapidly should rear shocks lose pressure? Mine has lost 15 psi since the first of March.
-
• #4157
It shouldn’t.
-
• #4158
What, never lose pressure at all?
In other news, spacers have done what was wanted and the brakes are working well.

Never had an air rear shock before, but have checked forks after several years which have had no noticeable pressure loss
-
• #4160
Hmm, sounds like it's fucked then.
-
• #4161
Does it feel or sound weird?
If not, could be something simple like the valve core being funky.

I’ll send the shock and the fork in for a service- better than risk them.

I think something is missing, not sure what it is though

New bike time I think

At least you don't have to worry about shit brakes for a bit

I do need an Enduro bike, come to mention it.
-

Anyway- noticed that I might need to look at my pressures when the shock and fork come back - only getting 20% sag on the shock.

Right, fork and shock on their way to Full Factory Suspension. Any upgrades I should ask Fin to perform whilst he's got them?
I did ask him about the Meg-Neg air-can upgrade and he had this to say:
"I think it’s Marketing BS
Just increases the neg air side so the shock will sit into the sag more.
Pretty pointless if you have the tokens in the upper that will be of more advantage in my opinion " -

Is the answer your scales or your toes?

When I bought a fork from TF Tuned years ago they asked how I rode (like an incompetent idiot) and what my weight was. When it arrived they suggested settings for it. I also asked them to fiddle with the integrals as they thought best. When it leaked I returned it they completely overhauled it and made some slightly different suggestions.

Madura Raceline MT7 and MT8 now available to order for ~480 Euro.
-
• #4172
Ha, I came here to tell you this.
Are you going to order them?
-
• #4173
Does "available to order" mean "available" though?
-
• #4174
Good point...
Neil if you do order them and decide to sell the the problematic ones you have I might be interested in them.
-
• #4175
Ah, that’s an interesting thought. Let me have a think. The problematic ones are currently working better than they ever have, and are really very good indeed. I had thought to leave them alone, but with that said it was my fiddling that got them to this condition so I am sure I can do it again.
Meant to mention, that in German they have a word that mean the same as Hansdampf which is - Eierlegende-wollmilchsau , which means - means egg-laying-wool-milk-pig. Not sure how well that would fit on a tyre.
