Which wheelset are you going with?

It’s coming with the Hunts but I’d not put money on it having them for long.

I would very much like to ride my bike this weekend, is it going to be apocalyptic weather? I’m in Utah right now so have no context.

At home? It'll be sunny but quite cold, max of 7 degrees.

Sounds ideal, thanks Andy

I find it very strange that I now think that this bike is good looking:
Whereas I used to think that modern MTB's were shockingly ugly and that this was the apogee of MTB design:

Fun few hours at Swinley this morning with Howard - chilly!
My pgnarmers continue to impress, but my dropper refused to return - the exact same problem that I had with the last dropper has magically transferred to this new dropper.
Riddle me this, forum, what could be causing my dropper to refuse to return?
I checked that the seat clamp was at 5Nm and that there was tension on the cable.

I guess the constant in all of this is the cable routing as that's dictated by the frame? Is there a tight radius at any point in the internal routing?

I know where there is a Manitou soft tail in almost unused condition from probably 1997 hiding.

Which dropper is it?
Mechanical droppers can fail to return coz they need air. Several Race Face Aeffect droppers seemed to have a batch wide problem where they leaked air from new and the dropper failed quickly.
Other droppers of a similar design (They're probably all made by Brand X/Trans-X) also had this problem. -

It's a Fox Transfer dropper, just having a scan of the manual now looking for how to service it.

Possibly, yes - it has to turn the corner above the bottom bracket. I had to remove the crankset and BB to route the new cable, as the cable can't be fed past it.

What size would it be?

i think its a 21"? maybe bigger, not sure

Today the dropper works perfectly. Maybe I need to put some pipe lagging round it to insulate it from the wind chill when it's ~0 degrees.

I had a chat with Stif MTB about whether they could swap the XD Driver for a Microspline freehub on a set of Reserve 30's - chap said he was sure he could, and did I want him to fit torque caps as well? I thought that sounded like a plan (Pike forks), and went ahead and ordered the wheels.

So you've already upgraded the wheels that you don't have yet

Seems legit

Do they have purple Industry 9 Hydra hubs?

What's Rogate like to ride? It says it's a downhill park - does that mean it's a minimum of 200mm travel to leave the carpark, or are there slightly calmer trails to ride?
