God knows what I’m doing here, Neil’s expensive things fap thread. Mostly avoiding work and making myself feel a bit better about buying some pretty modest stuff recently. Then I see this:
I dislocated my shoulder yesterday, skiing. Cable harness under helicopter, opiates, burly men popping it back in, the whole nine yards.
Heal up @Mashton. Wait, did your shoulder dislocate (a whole) nine yards?

Of course, these turned up today, after I made one on Saturday night, they look really good:
And they should give a useful bit of extra adjustment with regards to positioning bikes with reference to one another.

I think the rear wheel has the 6mm offset dishing.

£650ish to build those Light Bicycle rims up with DT Swiss 240s. Feels spendy.

I think the rear wheel has the 6mm offset dishing.
Is this a Cannondale thing?
-
• #1064
Yeah on their cross country frames. The rear is dished 6mm to the NDS and the hub is offset the same to the drive side. Shorter chain stays and a stiffer wheel apparently. Worth knowing about when building up new wheels. They call it AI offset.

They're top of my mtb wishlist at the moment. My Hopes run great but I hate loud hubs!
-
• #1071
They're a bit spendy, but I'll appreciate the fast & silent coasting
The fast engagement will help with the slower pickup on the Pinion Gearbox too

Is it too cold for MTB'ing at Swinley now, or does that rock and gravel surface last year round?

Me Julie is thinking of building a hard tail- likely an Isen Goat. She needs parts. I have a bike covered in parts. If I donate the running gear from the Scalpel, what could she use, what’s specific to Cannondale (something odd about the cranks and rear wheel alignment?) and what should I get to replace my existing parts?

What size wheels does the GOAT have? 650b?
Will probably just be your brakes, shifters and derailleurs, dropper and finishing kit if so.
If 29", you could potentially shift the forks and wheels - I'd imagine you can re-dish the rear (or just get Matt to build the rear triangle off-centre).
And obviously you should get Eagle AXS
What you need is this:
I've also changed the lock barrels so everything is a single key.
