Internal steps in lighthouse are not SPD shoe friendly.
I would advise removing shoes, should be fine in socks/barefoot.Last flight of steps though....

The final flight of steps.
Metal.
Very steep.
They have rules of engagement that must be followed.
You go up forwards as normal.
You come down backwards using handrails, not attempt to come down forwards as many people slip on the narrow steps, slide down them and bash heads in.
I do Ambulances....... that is about the worst carry chair evac rescue I can think of...... shit access and ALL the steps. Don't inflict this misery on those that would rescue you.

Respect! I’ve been nervously considering this since it popped-up. I’m glad Mashton made you do it. I’m gonna have to get up early, but ‘water’ an’ ting, ya know. Lifesaver!
Edit: ps. I go slow.

I would like to point out that I in no way made him do it!
But I am very much looking forward to doing it. On a wildly inappropriate bicycle.

But I gather your new Lo-Pro makes you go fast. I’n worried I couldn’t keep up.
-
• #91
It does, but I have to get off it and have a little lie down every 5 miles. It should all even out in the end!
-
• #92
I’ll be riding a Roberts too...
-
• #93
Great! Are you going to the CR meetup at the Guildhall on the 7th?
-
• #94
I’ll probably have to have a lie down cos’ you’ll be going so fast on your Roberts.
-
• #95
Fast for 10miles then i blow up and fall over.
Will be running risers.Might get some spangly orange bar tape though....and Mashton might make me use them.... :)
