what the heck are these lists used for? I as a native german speaker can only shake my head. I think german is so complex that this theoretical approach trying to learn rules really makes no sense, as you will never ever be able to remember all these weird nonsense exceptions that we have. it needs to be learned "live".

I see. But to be honest, all these things that make german complex are not necessary in everyday life for a foreigner to get along. Normally it's clear via the context what you want to say anway, so if people don't use the "Fälle", i.e. des, dem, deren etc., it will be alright, you will never sound like a German anyway.
And, Germans tend to switch to english anyway after some seconds because they feel that the conversation will become smoother and to show off with their mad english skillz.

Some news after almost 2 years: the frame has now been finished by the one and only Jacek Orłowski (who recently delivered the frame to my place). He also smoothed out two dings in the toptube that showed after sandblasting. Frame is now ready to be painted and I am really thinking about the color way. Most likely this is going to be powdered in a slightly matte metallic dark grey.
But actually it would also be cool to go for something really flashy, like a neon lemon to chrome fade, unfortunately this is rather unlikely to happen. LMK what you would do.

I don't get the hate for this. Sure it's unusual, maybe silly, maybe a waste of time. So what? The frame was a write-off anyway.

bjf, let me guess, you are a quite small chap, right? And you have no idea about big boys geometry?

Orłowski isn't just anyone. He's one of the most regarded european framebuilders of the last decades, and has built many frames with a similar geometry, and for a reason. It's just obvious that you have no clue what you are talking about. Worst starting point to leave comments like yours.
