Did you like the bike? You didn't actually say!

Love it! Just rolls along everywhere. A bit heavy but I don't mind. 32t front and 11-36 cassette is fine.

This is the type of mtbing I'm interested in, rolling out from home and getting into the countryside and exploring. Love both bikes, nice work.

Thanks - me too as it turns out! I always figured I'd have to get clothes that say 'Fox' and 'Scott' all over and wear a full face helmet but it's actually possible to just pootle around 😉
@SasenFrAsen haha, maybe! I think it's a cult for sausage and horse worship

Just finished mine and the Marin's first mtb race ever, 68 km. Semi-bonked with 5 km to go but overall pretty pleased! Bike performed better than me though. 2.8" tyres were boss, mega traction uphill and not a puncture in sight. Some gravel rash, keeled over due to being an idiot in a downhill curve.

Good effort! Front wheel looks oddly small in this pic :)

Joined the elite club on my daily thingy. Maybe longer kerjiggers and wider bars would be better.

F@cking hell, that was horrible. My old and frail body had not in any way recovered from last weekend. At least managed to average above 20 km/h over 55km but legs were wooden from start to finish.

Glad the chain snapped afterwards and not during the race! Now to reboot myself, going to see guns and roses tonight.

Nice work! Pretty damn fast for off road if you ask me!

Thanks! I've no frame of reference re these mtb things. I think the fast people averaged >25 km/h today.

Thread is brilliant! Both the Big Block and Marin look mighty fine. Not to mention the mtb you built for your SO.
What are they making on this farm, I wonder?
