  • Ah, OK. For some reason I wondered if it was meant to read 'We aren't quite urban, Miss Marple.' :)

  • This water fountain thing is something that interests me very much. The Mayor's initiative (see first post) seems to have ground to a halt, probably partly, but undoubtedly not wholly, because of the pandemic. In this article, the focus is very much on restoring older fountains, which is definitely important, but I think the main focus should be on creating new ones. I see this a bit like, for instance, the formerly constant renewal of post boxes. I don't know if the Mayor actually has a programme set up to install new ones that receives funding every year, but if he doesn't, this should certainly be created.

  • i agree @Oliver Schick Victorian drinking foundations as well as modern water features across the city is something London should have. Vital during the summer months along with free public lavatories.
