what's the chat on how far up inside your steerer should come?

Imagine it upside down as an extended seat lug. You wouldn't think of not having your seat post down past the bottom of the top tube, would you?

Also, spam alert on, thin walled stems are the reason why my top caps are only 31.8mm OD for 1⅛" and 28.6mm for 1"

We are going ahead. Sam is looking at it tomorrow I believe and will come up with a plan and I will start making a jig.
It looks like we can keep prices low and we have gotten a schweeeeeet quote for powder.
People will be asked to transfer money as soon as we have gotten some steel quotes.
