Damn, Gav does nice work.

That internal dynamo wiring is so tidy. Unlike my soldering too short/too long coaxial tapped up shrink wrapped clusterfuck

What the fucking fuck why are there two different plastic BB installation tools? Bought the wrong fucking one

Have two functioning brakes now at least, so that's good.

It's actually a massive ballache because of the need for two banjo fittings, but now they're on they should never come off anyway

Nice plant stand, beware the bolt on that stand btw I had the same one and all the threads stripped off.

• #319
On the bike stand? Yeah, it's a complete piece of shit
-
• #320
I'm not proud. You should see the amount of gloves we get through at work too :(
-
• #321
Aren't you going to key the frame and clearcoat it again after jellybeanisation?
-
• #322
I got my dad to make machine me a set whole new clamp hardware from stainless steels it still stripped the threads, it's a flawed design. Which is a shame because the rest of the stand is great
-
• #323
Kieran reckons the sign writing enamel should stick just fine to the clearcoat, so not planning to for now
-
• #324
I can't ever really like it because it hasn't got a splined fitting for the head rotation.

Oh I shimmed mine out with some super thin stainless sheet, it stops it slipping. I've still got loads some of them of you want?
I've managed to successfully fit an XT caliper to a Hylex lever. I've also fettled a mudguard.
That's unfortunately it for today because the rear brake hose isn't long enough, I need to buy 160mm rotors, the plastic adapter for the HT2 bottom bracket broke, and I forgot that the old front mech was top-pull. Sigh.
