  • That's a very nice modernist building which I never knew about.

  • Place gives me drain train nightmares. 🤣

    ...and the World keeps turning.

  • Popped to the Lego store the other day and picked up a new mug.

  • Bargain and a person after my own heart... never use the stickers folks!

  • If I didn't use the sticker my lighthouse beam wouldn't sweep round the room!

  • fair, I'm just bitter they don't use printed bricks anymore.

  • I'm just bitter they don't use printed bricks anymore.

Printed bricks are worse than stickers, at least you can ignore the stickers.

  • It depends. The reason why people are nostalgic for the old printed bricks (70s and 80s) is because they used to be very good—well-designed and memorable. That hasn't been the case for them for quite some time now, and LEGO recycles the same old badly-done ones over and over (e.g., instrument panels). Yes, stickers that you can leave off are preferable to most current printed bricks, but the old ones are still missed.

  • I was excited. I thought my kids would be excited. They’re certainly not excited.

  • That's awesome. Can completely understand your kids lack of give a fuck though.

  • !!!!!eleven!

    How?

  • All music is noise.

  • Wago competition. Won some Octopus points last month, now this…. A welcome change!

It is up for the chop as it’s got no love here, kids dead set on the ‘nightmare before xmas’ Lego set.

  • I made my first order directly from Lego a couple of days ago for some Christmas gifts. I had no idea they come all the way from Belgium.

  • I genuinely had no idea how big the Gringotts bank set was it must weigh 7kg plus. We when to universal this summer and my daughter loved the Harry Potter stuff, especially the Gringotts bank ride. It’s be quite a challenge to get done, together with the festive 500.

My wife is a massive fan of nightmare before Christmas and that’s for her birthday in a couple of weeks.

Is her birthday a bit of a nightmare before Christmas, then? :)

  • These look like great sets!

On licensed kits, my brother loves the Star Wars stuff and he has - among others - the cantina.

He wants Jabba’s sail barge, but I think needing somewhere to home it is putting him off! It’s quite large.

  • My partner did the London to Paris bike ride this summer. A big achievement as she is very much a leisure cyclist.
As a ‘well done’ birthday pressie I bought her the Lego Notre Dame set back in August.
It’s now cold and wet outside so I’m guessing she might be asking for me to clear some of my models so she can get on with it.
