  • My pre-order from the 22nd has just left the warehouse.

  • Annoying that I could have just bought them on Amazon and had them March 1st but I got some lego points I guess.

I queried the delay and they gave me 2500 Lego Points and also sent me the current 'Creator' freebie set too - my little'un will play with the Florist Shop, so that's a win.

  • Cars and more cars. Nice, but anyone else here think Lego should have a go at designing a bicycle model?

  • Not sure that Lego lends itself to constructing spindly, stick insect assemblies.

  • Lego should have a go at designing a bicycle model?

    There's one on Ideas
    https://ideas.lego.com/projects/6b4f3fe9-f5dd-49cb-8a6b-45eb4fde9d24

  • From that page:

The top five countries where bike riding is the most common form of transportation are the Netherlands, UK, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden.

It is just amazing how myths proliferate ...

They must mean that people who ride bikes are the most common.

  • people who ride bikes are the most common

It's one of those things where it's important to know what is being measured. I'd be surprised if there was any country where bike riding is the most common form of transport if you count aggregate passenger miles.

  • Absolutely, public transport, where well-developed, generally beats all other modes, including walking (although that is obviously hard to measure, and one doesn't count the miles walked inside houses, etc.).

It is quite touching that someone might think cycling could possibly be the 'most common form of transportation' anywhere, vague though that is. In the old phrase (not mine), it should be the 'default non-walking mode of transport', but I'd bet it isn't that anywhere in the world.

  • Thanks for that.😌
    Bloody hell, that’s a sophisticated design.👏

  • Bust my ankle so new hobby. Started with the small Typhoon and immediately got a bigger and more detailed P47.

  • Dem Jugz.

Lucky to see one fo Reelz at the last Warbird meet.

Tempted to try in DCS but the 109 is too delicious.

  • This may or may not be related to just unlocking one in war thunder.

  • Interesting.

    DCS is somewhat complicated. (Real)

    War Thunder sounds easier?

  • Reckon this has turned out ok.

  • Is the engine modelled?

    Scale too small?

  • Nice.

The Hokusai Great Wave art in the bathroom is getting lots of compliments.

  • Snap. Went with matte though for a clean look.

  • Love the texture on those. What filament is it?

I managed to narrow the floor between the wheels mostly using bits in this kit. Replaced the two 2x16 plates with the two 2x8 from the middle of the floor, then filled in the gaps. Am just missing a couple of 3x2 which is annoying but don't think I can be arsed actually ordering them from bricklink or whatever.

  • It's this stuff.

Couldn't be bothered with some of the models that bring the rear tyres in (for now). Happy with how it looks.

I was going to print a fuzzy skin too but liked the flat texture. Might just print a single one to see what it looks like.

  • Has anyone made the Concorde kit?

It looks pretty nifty. Am considering it for a house activity for an upcoming extended family 80th birthday get together...

  • Anyone interested in these before I punt them to eBay ? Based SW could deliver locally
