I can well believe some of that.
I buy a couple of ranges, and some of the stuff that was discontinued 5 years ago is now going for rough 8x price, and they weren’t special or limited editions or anything fancy.

Oops.
Beer can for scale. It's a very big box.

So is that either of these ...
John Lewis have the UCS Star Destroyer and Millenium Falcon at £520 and £550 respectively. Both absolute bargains, obviously.
... or the AT-AT? I assume the latter, as you've ordered from LEGO?
I'd take advantage if I had space for either of the damn things when finished.
Won't somebody think of the SPACE? :)
Have fun!

Christmas Legoing is underway!
Last year started an Xmas tradition where we buy an Xmas kit or two and put them together instead of a traditional Xmas manger scene. We also have the Xmas train set from a couple of years ago which we have never put together either. Plan is to eventually have enough to create a proper diorama village. Though, fuck knows how we are going to find the time to do it each year once we get to about 8 or so kits...

That's undoubtedly what this series of sets is intended to be used for. Do you not have space to box them up along with your Christmas stuff and take them out every year without rebuilding them all?

I would prefer that to be the option, maybe I'll get some plastic crates for them.
I know though that when I suggest it the riposte from my partner will be that half the fun is building them! Maybe some get broken down and the older ones get stored whole. There's definitely a halfway house answer somewhere in there

These are great. Assuming Thrust SSC is on the way?

Thank you. I would like to but it is more about the available parts...
I have sized it up, but not sure I can do it justice. Need to think more.

I think this one has a chance of making it. The main difficulty is the large lettering that would be needed, and would have to be a sticker spanning multiple large elements, which I think thez don't like. I'm not sure about the others, but if this one is a success, they might follow. Good luck.

Clearing out the loft yesterday and re-discovered the Lego. The big set of drawers full of Lego was one of my all time bargains, bought all of that for £30 from ebay. Loads of Starwars and Harry Potter stuff in there.
