  • And should the brake mount be proven technology using an IS mount, or should I go for 3D printed bosses? The printed bosses would probably look slightly better than they do now. The price difference is substantial (x4) but not insurmountable (€30).

  • I did draw it on a computer, in fairness

  • Couldn't help myself, didn't bother with shaping the sawn off bits properly as I think it's best for you to let your instincts take over and give them whatever shape you think resonates with the scene.

  • Did you see the upside down mount on the 150BAR pump frame?

  • These are the exact scene resonations I was hoping for.

  • IS mounts mean carrying two extra bolts everywhere you go

Post is good, so long as you're not the type who regularly strips threads

  • Looks like I'm on the brake mount memes thread...

I wasn't before you jinxed me.

  • Very cool & smooth!

  • So close... Will hopefully have it built it up before the end of the month.

  • Didn't want to keep changing titles, so here goes. It already was a collection thread before everybody started doing them, mind.

  • Preview of a new project that's starting to take shape, will involve buying a brazing torch sometime soon.

Are you to blame for that trend then?

  • No that's Hulsroy.

  • Had a small run of these braze-on clamps laser cut as a (pre-emptive) thank you for the frame builders in my life.

  • Home! Small issue with the bearing cups though, the bearings don't fit. But I'm in quarantine and most shops have closed over the holidays anyway, so I will need to be patient. Hopefully I'll be able to find a shop that has an IS42 and IS52 reamer, don't think they're very common tools?
