All black with shallow silver wheels and gumwalls

convinced the Police and Judge that its is mine so they got a warrant to get it back. I am so amazed that we got reunited and I´m keen to put it back in the road
@Black_Rainbow_Project is having trouble with this at the moment. You might have some ideas that would help him
Edit maybe it wasnt him. I cant seem to find the thread

I basically put together a photo comparison between the sellers photos and the images I had of the bike, campairing scraped, dents and costomized parts.

Yes, sounds good. I have the wheel set above with gumwalls I can put on in the next days. A 1" Time Ahead fork is on its way, since the orginal fork has taken some beating and looks a bit thick.
DA 7900 would go quite well with the all back I imagine. I am still missing crankset to go with it. -

Some destickered Shimano RS10 in silver would look great on this with gumwalls

Totally agree! They seem hard to find in silver though

Black wheels will be fine. You just don’t often see cannondales on silver wheels and it always looks so good with the rest of the build being really modern

I quite like the look of this Trek. Makes me think to shift the silver 7800 to the Caad and build up the Look next spring with the 7900.

Headset arrived. Thinking of all black seat post, stem and cranks with silver dura ace brakes and derailers.

That trek looks fantastic. What is the crankset?
-
• #18
I think it's a anodized or painted Dura Ace crankset.

FC-7900 painted black, actually makes it look good

Wasn't there a limited availability of FC-7600 in black from factory?

Removed the old headset and put the crown onto the fork. I have a headset press here to continue getting the bike ready for spring. Two questions popped up: Is it advisable to face the headtube and how to align the Chris King writing?

Not sure how your wrists cope with that saddle angle and reach but it looks great, enjoy the alps!

We made it! I adjusted the saddle angle a bit. The reach was totally fine though.

Hi,
I am rebuilding my trusty Cannondale CAAD 3 that I got back almost 2 years after it got stolen. By chance I found it on the internet and convinced the Police and Judge that its is mine so they got a warrant to get it back. I am so amazed that we got reunited and I´m keen to put it back in the road
I got the bike 6 years ago after from my brother and took it to Japan a couple of times to ride across the country and through Tokyo while studying there.
I striped the frame and I have either a Dura Ace 7800 or Dura Ace 7900 group to put on it. Also I am undecided between giving it an all black or black frame / silver parts look. Any suggestions or references?
Cheers,
Maki
