Seriously though - which dropper?
"30.9 fully stealth routed dropper-compatible seat tube (34.9 clamp and front mech) feeds round the BB and into the down tube."

Flats.
I can't ride my Speedplay unless I'm 99% sure I wont have to dab. So, dry gravel is fine. Muddy trails anything steep and/or technical (for me) not so much.
I am thinking about trying my SPD SIDIs again though (non-midfoot) but honestly I think going back to flats is the right move.

You have these, don't you, which are basically midfoot flats?
-
• #855
Gold renthal fatbar pls
-
• #856
Gold EVERYTHING
-
• #857
Yeah, used them for Badlands. Also have a set of Nukeproof which aren't as long but are grippier due to pins not allen bolt inserts.
Wait, wtf are those pins?
"Better pins and grip" - are they a new model or something? I still want sharper pins for mine.

I turned my nose up at those for the Inbred, because 'gold' but they might not look so stupid on whatever the fuck a Misty Blue Stanton looks like.
-
• #860
Hard no.
Actually I have a gold Renthal chainring already. Maybe I will build the bike around a chainring...
-
• #861
The one on the right is different too. I think I have a set of the originals and they piss me off because they don't have a pedal spanner flat. But it looks like the new new pedals have gotten rid of that again?! WTF?
-
• #862
I paid £72 for my Catalyst pedals in 2019 and they're now £105 (Evo £140) . dafuq

You prompted me to email them asking if I can delete the decals/stickers/logos. Since they're supposedly not painted yet this shouldn't be a problem.
-
• #864
Ooh I like the Misty Blue! There is a Stanton Owners Group on FB where you might find examples of that colour.
My forks are just Aliexpress specials. I like the ride feel, but no idea if they wont collapse and kill me next time I use them.
-
• #865
You went frame only?!
Praying 4 you.
-
• #866
Which fork?
-
• #867
PNW will be the next dropper I buy. They seem to have a good ethos. Not basing this on anything technical whatsoever.
-
• #869
Yeah, the only thing to complain about is that a Wolftooth lever is nearly as much the whole kit. They're also a piece of piss to service.
-
• #870
Fork (and much else) will be “what’s in stock that Hippy can afford”, Ohlins is apparently more available than other brands right now, but that’s hearsay.
-
• #872
Aren't these the previous model? You could limit the travel on those with a spacer made from a zip tie.
-
• #874
Also these are a Fox Transfer no?
Pretty much
-
• #875
Depends if you want to adjust the travel. I have one new and one old and can't tell the difference.
I still need to pick fork, wheels & tyres, groupset, dropper, bars, yada yada
