Once you've gone fat, you'll never go back.

Given all the geometry chat, I think you should get a Bionicon Edison

Have we discussed the new Salsa Timberjack yet? It ticks quite a lot of boxes and frameset is reasonably priced (£505).

Wasn't it shunned earlier for some reason? I can't keep track.
£505? Is it available anywhere?
-
• #814
Looks like it's expected to be available from mid April..complete build with slx group seems to be good value too

27.5 and a 130mm fork, but other than that...
-
• #816
It's designed for 120-150mm fork and can take either 27.5 or 29 wheels. It can also be setup singlespeed or geared and has some extra frame mounts..

LBS (but not L for you) getting a few in https://www.instagram.com/p/CLwdztAlVZa/

"frameset"?
-
• #819
Given parts availability I had assumed you’d get a complete bike for preference
-
• #820
The problem is, that delays the bike because lots of bike suppliers don't have the parts either. Or they'll ship with whatever they can get. I reckon I'll get a frame and then build it up piece by piece. So I could order stuff in parallel if I pulled a finger out.
Buying complete would save a lot of questions in here though and where's the fun in that. ;)
