Tsubaya Japanese Paring Knife

  • Bought from Tsubaya in Tokyo when I was over in January but I never use it. Can't abide a beautiful tool that's not getting used. VG-10 steel clad in stainless, so it won't rust and doesn't need wiped down after every cut.

It's this one. I'd take £70, which is a bit less than what it cost me, and you'll save £1000 on an airfare too. Collection on Hackney Road or I can post it recorded.

  • Absolutely beautiful bit of kit!

  • I’ll take that mate - will pop you a PM

  • That was quick!

  • Do you know what kind of steel is it?

  • VG-10 is a cutlery grade stainless steel produced in Japan. The name stands for V Gold 10 ("gold" meaning quality), or sometimes V-Kin-10 (V金10号)

    nice knife!!

  • Dōmo arigatōgozaimashita

  • Provisionally sold to @Dick

  • You sure you post it? Thought it was prohibited, no? I'll be interested if Dick doesn't take it. Cheers.

  • @dbr - why are you not shaving bits of flesh off with this knife ahead of the Nationals?

  • Still available?
