  • Man enough to say he was wrong .

  • Greipel’s done that before, so just to confirm once again he’s a decent and honest guy

  • Anyone else seen this come up on their feed? “Time Trial” the movie....

  • Yes and, having read his book, it doesn’t interest me.

  • That bad?

If it’s on Webflicks I’ll get around to it some time.

    Nothing beats Premium Rush, anyway.

  • There's a Strava segment on the Cipressa from 2016 where Demare appears to be faster than Kwiato was in 2017. Also this picture.

  • 'Andre G.' is not particularly slow here either ;)

  • Wasn’t that proven at the time to be a) someone other than Demare and b) on the Turchino?

  • BMX Bandits does

  • It's a bit weird and not a film about time trialling whatsoever. What was supposed to be a documentary about Millar's last year as a pro ended up becoming about his efforts (and subsequent failure) to make the TdF team.

Almost over before it starts. Some great footage of that years MSR tho.

  • Has he won it yet?

Oh and I will echo Greipel's apology to Demare, I was quick to whip out the pitchfork.

Shame after the last couple of stages this should be a fairly pedestrian affair, at least in GC terms. Getting into the break could be proper lively though.

  • 'Time Trial' is more about him getting old and the race against time.

  • Double or nothing on the field vs. Tommy Poo for the TT.

  • I am happy to see Geraint in yellow, and I'd like it if he won GC. I have also had intermittent feelings of schadenfreude when the "baddie" riders have suffered, but overall this really has been a TdF to forget.

  • but overall this really has been a TdF to forget.

I woke up this morning feeling this, there's still time for some drama though I guess

  • There have been good moments! But 90% of it has been a snoozefest. I don't think the TdF should have the same route and format every year, but it doesn't seem like there has been much for the punchier riders. Also considering the amount of flat stages it seems strange that so many sprinters are dragging ass to Paris, but that might might be a confluence of different things.

  • Tour essentially decided. Tour is boring.
    Sprint stages. Boring.
    Start of the Tour. Boring.
No one attacking every climb. Boring.
    Blah blah... Boring.

Love Island is over there >>>

  • Are we watching the same race?

so many sprinters are dragging ass to Paris

  • The internal power dynamic of Team Sky has fascinated me. How do others deal with it, overcome it ? I don't think it's all over yet, there is still more to come.

A first time G.T. winner in Paris on Sunday ? Not Froome who was favourite at the start. Not a procession, not a bad tour.

  • Love Island's been pretty good mind

  • What I meant was, what's left of the sprinters are dragging ass to Paris.

  • love island's been better than the tour this year tbf

  • I mean, there's been cobbles, the short stage, power struggle, protests, punches, tear gassed fans and riders, crazy crashes, green jersey super secret crashes, riders actually attacking each other. If it's not exciting enough, perhaps road cycling is lost on you. I've got Red Bull Rampage on the Tivo, maybe I can send out as some kind of cycling boredom care package...

  • Tear gassing really does pep things up I think it could be a good regular addition...
