No one will complain that it was a boring holiday I guess.

Having had to cancel our own touring plans last week because of the weather I had mixed feelings looking at your pics on IG but as we are solely on bikes that was probably for the best, if the "flooded" pic is anything to go by...
The next 3 days should be dry though, tempted to DSB out of town and have O on his own bike this time, with the Towhee just in case. -

We waited and waited for the weather to clear up. Wednesday was good enough to go to Jesperhus themepark and then continue out into Thy National Park. The weather has been great and the rain we had Sunday evening would not have been problematic somewhere else. The problem was just that heavy vehicles have compacted and convexed (can you say that?) the site not allowing the water to escape. Train + towhee sounds great

Soooo. I have had two customers get back to me about their Symmetric 1L cages. When doing off road and jibby stuff the "stop tab" can bend. We have all seen how Stridsland treats his bike. His a grade A product tester 😂
So far I have only used the sideloaders myself and they don't seem to have the issue. And the same with the STD cages - no issues here. So my thinking is that the Symmetric 1L cages grab the bottles a little less than the 1L sideloaders, and because the heavier bottle is not kept in place by an upper tab, the bottle can move back and forth in the cage basically acting like a hammer.
So I have been working on a dimpling tool to give the lower half of the 1L cage a bit more stiffness to withstand the forces.I don't think the STD cages need the same action, but maybe I end up liking the expression and decide to do it on them as well. We shall see... Still needs some work.. but I feel confident that next batch will be this new iteration.

That is very beautiful.

Thank buddy. I can see how I can prettify the dimples down the line but they work and I am pretty chuffed about the new swing press setup.

Looks alright I think. Although the one in this photo is slightly off centre. Fixed that but didn't take any photos

In awe at your trip, and surviving the weather.

Nice fix on the bendy tab and cool to see you got a fly press - your time per bend must have dropped by a huge amount compared to the hydraulic press.

Hulsroy as stock option on Starling builds :D

Yeah boy. That's alright

You ought to advertise how good the cages look on old bikes too!

I know I know. It's wild.
I don't know how to celebrate it but I am totally up for suggestions.
I have a very exciting last half of 2025 coming up. There's Bespoked with Ti-man aka Fish Fingers, an aero road bike with Playstation gears, a cute off road folding bike and hopefully got a review and gravel bike build article in the works worth a big site.
How are views counted on here @Velocio? Is it just anytime someone opens the URL? So half of these are basically my own views?

The first view after a post is not counted, but everything else is counted.
So not quite half will be yours, but if you viewed without posting them that increments the count.

I hope so. I didn't realise they sold out. They are on vacation this week and possibly the next. But I will make sure to follow up on it.

Speaking of stock. Just picked up 148 freshly polished cages. These include the latest 1L version which I am really chuffed about.

I see Stayer are taking pre-orders for the 1L cages, will they be the new versions with the dimple once in stock?

• #9199
I guess. But not sure where they are with things

Down to a handful of leftys as well I think! Thanks for checking.
Chopping up an old stroller for the seat is genius. I had missed the fork mod.
I’ve got to get the Bob yak I have hooked up and persuade the dog to get into before I look ahead. Real bike is a bit lighter than the bullit.
