Is this a RAL colour? Looks lovely.
-
• #728
I don't know. It is a Hunter Monster Cross if you want to do some research
-
• #729
Hmm, can't find anything specific. Looks similar to 3003, 3031, 3013 or something in matte though. Nice.

If you change your mind on those tyres I'll take them off your hands! Epic bargs, none left at sjs now.

• #731
Thanks. I'll let you know.

Cheers. Onto the colour, I reckon the ocean blue will be tricky to look "right" with any black components as it's a bit of a clash. But as a colour on its own, it's lovely. The right sort of yellow would also be ace.

Ral1001 wouldn't look out of place with a mix of silver and black components. Though I think an emphasis on black would look best.

Lol. Good reference thanks

Yeah, I actually think it's a better reference than most of those silly paint samle thingamabobs.

RAL3012 but do it in matte

Would have loved to buy this

I haven't got the swag to pull that off. It is basically my skin colour :(

Update:
I bought a new wheel set with green Chris King hubs for my SSCX
Which should go nicely with the green Chris King headset. This mean I have my Kinlin/Novatec wheelset spare and this will go on the GT instead of building a new wheelset for that.
GT will get these cranks:
I was going to make some brass parts for the cranks, but then I found and purchased these on eBay for 10gbp and decided it was not worth my time trying to make some.
Maybe this saddle:
This groupset:
And this head set (unless I can find a reasonably priced 1" CK):

Uhhh
And got some Ultegra on this one:
I can not feel the difference but it looks nice and price was the same as my 5800 parts. Shifters are still 5800.
I fucking love this bike. It is by far the one I ride the most. It is a perfect mix between fast and comfy and the dynamo light make it weapon of choice almost every day.
Sometime in the near future it deserves a Swift rando bag the has a bit more space than this Ostrich one.
The Ortlieb decaleur system I hacked also works effortlessly. Everything about this bike is just super easy. -

That's really nice! How are those tyres? Have been thinking about swapping out my gravelkings for the fairweathers.
-
• #743
They are great. I am very happy. Zero punctures so far and feels as fast as my Challenge Strade Bianche.
Re tyres. I am hoping to get some Challenge Gravel Grinder Plus in the new fake brown gum wall for the GT
