Maxxis now says it's designed for modern short travel trail bikes
Bleurgh, thanks, Maxxis
I miss lighter weight mud tyres

Yes. And my conclusion is that 2.4" ish absolutely fine for me and 735g is also a fine weight. I had to let the minions go because they are just too slow and pebbles keep getting caught in the threads and my technique is way better now so I don't think I need the added grip for confidence

This is very good, should be posted in the SS MTB thread.
I like that the orange ano is more burnt orange than high viz.

Yes, although I'm quite fond of 2.6" tyres now, I'd like them to stay under 900g for XC use
Minions on anything where you have to pedal are soul destroying
It's a fine bike and I look forward to adding it to the SSMTB archive
P.S. your daughter will think you're more cool now ;-)

Thanks. Nov 2nd!

Haha well at least we are equal now. SS 4 life.
2.6" is really great but too big for Rebas + mud

This is delicious

The new Forecaster doesn't make much sense to me. It weighs more than the equivalent Dissector, which is a pretty aggressive trail tyre.
P.S. Bike is lovely

Nice massive 26" wheel'd bike mads.

A beauty. Interested in how the tyres work out also.

Yes it does have that vibe.

My fear is that there is a reason they chunked it up for V2, but we don't have sharp rock gardens where I tide so hopefully it is fine

Thanks.
Weight is one thing, but it does look to me like forekasters will clear mud easier and that it might be faster rolling.

Sorry they are old stock 2.35". Found them on a German site. They are lighter and better in mud than the new version apparently 735g
