  • Things I've Made That Don't Work That Only I Can Fix

Is this show going to be history channel, discovery or gcn+?

  • Definitely a hack

  • Ay... This is not mainstream media! I am trying to entertain actual nerds / connoisseurs <3

  • the best posts in this thread are when u make a little metal trinket to fix something very specific

    v good

  • Thank you ❣️

Trinket is a new word to me. Had to Google it

  • Is the choice of brass based on availability, material property, aesthetic, or other? It looks pretty

  • Yes. Well I had brass, alu and stainless steel sheet, but my band saw has a wood cutting blade mounted currently so that outruled stainless.
And alu was just a bit meh when everything else is Goldy looking

  • Cool, it suits the bike. Nice work

  • A bit of finalised geometry for @JensArne 's new road bike

  • Maybe the real question here is what toppings did you go for on the safety pizza?

  • I haven't looked at it yet 🙂

  • They look pretty fun! Want to stick one on my commuter at some-point, though would block my rear light so might have to do some bodging.

  • Who was it who was interested in buying the GT Ruckus?

I am going to sell frame, forks and stem. Maybe salsa Liplock and CK as well if needs must. I have too many projects on to spend time fixing the rear wheel and I can use parts on a hardtail for a mate.

  • Potential dibs headset and saddle clamp

  • Too bad I'm not tall enough to ride this - GLWS!

  • I may be interested in frame+fork+stem but I don't think I was first in queue.
Could you remind me some mesures of the frame and stem ?

  • I'll do a proper add this weekend. Would be nice to find out the dibs queue

  • Continuing the talk of modifying my rim brake road bike to accept disc brakes I've been drawing up different brake mount solutions and decided that making a post mount inside the rear triangle is the easiest and prettiest for me to do.

The geometry of the bike will change a bit as I would replace the road forks with Enve All Road or Columbus Futura gravel which are 382mm a-c.
Bike would be able to do 700c 35mm tyres without mudguards and 28c with.
Alternatively I cheapskate and use some cross forks I have spare. But that would make the head angle too slack for me maybe. A-C would be 395mm and head angle would end up 72.5°

  • Think this mount design is really smart. @ectoplasmosis did something similar on his retro Ti mtb I believe.

  • ...and it hasn't folded in on itself (yet)!

  • Yeah I like it. I think we’re doing similar on Tijmen’s future mtb

  • Yes his IS was even simpler to do but his brake caliper is IS and mine is Post Mount. With the IS to post mount adaptor in there there is not enough space.
    I have done a similar #crackpipepostmount on @JesperXT s bike

  • Do you have a CNC mill? I saw in IG your tool path engraving story thing

  • Yes boss. It is not for metal tho
