Well you should def consider getting a small lathe. Mine was £350ish second hand and it really means a lot customising stuff

For example I was out of single ring chainring bolts so I turned down some doubles on the lathe just now.

I am yet to do the front mudguard and build a rack for the cargo bike, but I managed to flip the child seat today during my daughter's nap.
It involved a bit of machining of which I forgot to take photos. But I'll take some photos next time I disassemble it.
I need to do so e sort of for rest for the little lady as she was not having enough room before

Luxury parent transport, amazing!

It is just the best.
I understand not everyone can afford a cargo bike and even if they did, parking space for it might be limited, but if you have the choice I suggest that you go that way. We have the best days on this thing.

Really good! Quite modest in terms of distance and speed (for now), but yesterday was our first time on the tandem with kiddy cranks...

Been tinkering with a footplate design today. I still need to drill some holes, bend it a bit more and sand it.

Nice and functional! Maybe some anti-slip tape?
-
• #4521
make everything parallel? would be nicer (my opinion!)
-
• #4522
Well you are not actually stepping on it to get up, but I will consider it. Some griptape or something might be good.
-
• #4523
I have been thinking about that, but the m5 fixing at top was placed there before coming up with the need for a footplate. It will make sense when I've drilled holes for mounting

Yeah, more to help place the feet at different angles while riding was my thought.

Fair. I'll see what I can find
It's a lovely frame and build... Please don't scar it with DB! Besides, isn't that why you have the other one? :)
Would look even nicer with a silver (Dura Ace?) rear derailleur. Or polish the middle plate/cage, Potenza style?
