That's shit the issue with BB threads. Is there an eccentric BB that clamps itself so you don't need the bolts? Bushnell ebb?

No only this system will work. It is an easy fix for me I just don't have time to do it and it is annoying have to bring it in to work to fix it

There is some interest in the rando bike. I will do a proper add as soon as I have time with prices and a bit of background info.

Rando bike is for sale now and I finally had some time for the ssmtb.

A small bodge means I can ride it to my workshop tomorrow and sort out threads.

How did you get it to work with a loose ebb? Perfect chain length?

Well, @t0-ster

I drilled out the shit threads and cleaned up the studs on the inside.
Then I turned some inserts and silver soldered them in. The I tapped the inserts M6 and replaced the bolts.

And ohh yeah @t0-ster I tapped a M4 hole in the centre of the BB shell. That was enough to get me to work. It is down hill all the way from Crouch End anyway

I have been working on @lmananimal 's Empella. Removing some things from the frame. Respacing canti studs and extending steerer.

Almost nothing. But now it clears 33c instead of 30c

When you're crimping the chainstay, do you heat it before?

No not at all. Consider it a controlled dent.
It is quite easy to do if you just have the right tools. But as I said up stream you don't get many mm out of it
