I have not the slightest clue how this picture got so blurred lol.
Anyways, here's the "new" cockpit. Weighs only 935 grams.
ITM CrMo handlebar, Hooger Booger CrMo stem, Dia Compe Power Control 3 brake levers, random Chinese lock-on grips (with screws made of butter apparently) and a random Chinese Bell that makes a surprisingly loud sound.

I'm grateful for the offer but it's too long and I'm - unfortunately still - located in Hungary, so shipping would cost too much. :)

Oh gosh, I forgot I offered it to you before. My apologise!

• #84
Haha, no problem at all buddy, thanks anyways!

Solving reach problems in a ball-lethal way. Didn't have time to change the cockpit so far.

Not such a monster anymore, but honestly, with this bar setup it's way better. I'm getting a set of proper brake levers (I thought these Dia Compe were good, but these are new, plastic, Taiwanese wobbly pieces of wank).
I'll defo make another drop bar MTB conversion in the future, but that time with a frame that has a better geometry for the purpose.

Complete bike pic?

As soon as the sun shines a bit I'll take some proper pics, here's a shitty one until that. Saddle is temporary.

18 °C today, sunshine, new handlebar again, half proper pics.
Not really a monster anymore, comfy as hell, rides great!

Thanks, they're Kenda Small Block Eights in 26x2.10 size. -

How are they on/off road?
-
• #94
Loud on road, didn't really have the chance to properly try them off road so far. :)

I've got Continental Speed Kings, sounds like a small engine when I pick up a bit of speed on road. They're way too knobbly for the riding I'm doing so I'm looking for something a bit faster on road and passable on gravel. Have subbed, give us an update if you take it off road!

Sure thing mate!

29ers? Ill swap you some used Big Bens
Or 650b horisonz -

Nah, 26"! #futureproof
Also it'd require postage on both ends so probably not economical.

Some slightly better shots. Tyres are pretty good offroad as far as I can tell, but I'm no MTB expert.
