  • 8000 is so much nicer. There is a discussion somewhere how you can cook nice food for a tenner for two weeks.

  • Well yes I couldn't care less about bikes when I was you age.

  • I can eat pasta every day...I dont mind

  • This should be rideable by tonight!!

  • pictures please been wanting to see this

  • Its built up and ive rode it home.

So far so good, need to sort the fit out though. Will get some basic photos the weekend!

  • Here we go!! The position is kinds dialled now after a small bike fit and a 25 mile ride (need narrower handlebars)

It rides lovely from what I have seen. Stiff yet very comfortable but that may have someething to do with the tubeless setup, which feels amazing and the tyres do come up as 27c not 25!!

Overall I am really pleased with it and for what its worth it weighs a lot less than I imagined a steel road bike to weigh. Will get specific weight soon

    #steelisreal

  • Wide wheels are amazing!

  • Oh they are. Comfy ting

  • This is very good, moar pics please. Also, redo the handlebars tape

  • Noice! My 25mm come up 29mm on the HED rims. I don't go above 60/55psi on them, such comfort.

  • dannggggg made me want a volare again. .

  • I have mine around 80 but you probably weigh the same as a 12 y/o girl!!

  • I will get some nice photos tomorrow! And bar tape is temp until my fizik stuff turns up from the abyss that is head office

  • No new photos yet as I'm going to wait till my new bars turn up, Zipp SC70 in 42 as the 44 I already have are too wide for my little boy shoulders!

So I have a pair of 44cm Zipp SC with less than 30 miles on them for sal if anyone fancies them!

  • This thing rides a dream. New bars and position feel great! 10/10 would bang.

  • Whats the weight off the bike now ,and how's the Chinese seatpost josh.you done a good job.

  • My mates bike is 8.6kg and its lighter than that. Will get them on some scales at some point!!

Ive used the crabon posts on both this and my ninrr and they have been fine! So far.

  • Weighed it properly and its 8.5kg with shit heavy spdsl pedals.

Though the weight isnt an issue as the bike rides like a dream.

  • VERY ambitious without spending silly money.

  • Alright mr know it all.

Im still very happy at 8.5

  • Nice build! Do you have a link to where you got the seatpost?

  • Lil update. This thing is still going strong, however I am not! I have had to result in a 90mm stem due to back pains (Sciatica unfortunately) which doesnt look great but to be fair id rather ride a 90mm stem than buy a new frame and #deathbeforeendurancebikes.

Ill get something that will fit my needs better in the future, but for now this will do!

    exact opposite of @edscoble
