It's a journey with no destination. It's a lifestyle choice with no subscription.

did you spray yourself or is that pro-fresh?

Sprayed myself. It had a burnt out seatpost before so paint was ruined

I reckon you'd get 38mm in. More room in the rear than the fork. 380mm a2c.
-
• #90
Interesting!
Do you think 38 would be the max?
-
• #91
Anybody have some 38c tyres I could try out in my 2015 Equilibrium?
-
• #92
ooooh subbed. love my CDF but dont ride enough.
-
• #93
Haha! In their defence, tough to have thru-axles and meet a pricepoint
-
• #94
Definitely on the fork. Rim width would probably be a factor too.
-
• #95
Rims I've got are 20mm internal so they're nice n wide, what do people think 38 (guessing that excludes any room for guards?) would translate to with guards?
-
• #96
700x28 with guards ;)
-
• #97
650c x 20c

Going to look at a SRAM Rival 1 2016 Reynolds 725 Croix de Fer (not sure if 20 or 30) this evening. Looks like exactly what I'm after - adventurey/gravelly/toury build - & could be a steal. Excited!

Yeah probably go for 25/28c on 700c, but for now I wanna work out what the cushier end of the spectrum looks like.
No just the frame, fork would be swapped
