Proper wind ups or do they go under a different name? Gonna set up a little eBay search. Also can’t face paying for the whisky fork.

They’re Bontrager satellite. Pretty rare. There was a painted by @hoops pair floating around here a few months back.
Good forks, ride just like my woundups.

USA - Washington, Montana then following the Continental Divide down but sticking to roads / light grav through Wyoming and Colorado into New Mexico - then Texas and the plains heading towards Atlanta for a flight home. Weighs a ton but seems to still ride reasonably well! Here it is in boxed form.

More pics. Took bottles off forks as it was giving a serious wobble at speed.

newly completed equilibrium disc.
commuter / winter bike / tourer / family wagon. A classic forum build but a first steel for me and i am happy with it's abilities.
I build it for a touring holiday along the Rhine Eurovelo, and If it can pull and stop a 25kg chariot in the Alps, it must also be able to go up Swain's lane in 2 mins, which i will soon find out ...

Bike looks right up my street, is this the latest equilibrium model?

^ sorry the mismatched fork threw me

Latest one has thru axle I thought

it's the older model, found a deadstock frame aaaand..... ages later ... a fork.

Almost think it looks better with the black fork, doesn't look as wide as when it's in red for some reason.
-

i didn't know the original fork was red but it looks better with this one. win win.

Looks great, what size tyres are you running? Thinking of 650bing mine for winter.
-
• #515
these are gravelking 32mm. great performance but what a nightmare to put on the first time.
I am soon to try some other slick 35mm, and go down a size as well for winter to fit mudguards.
I am not sure what tyre size advantage gives 650b, especially with knobblies, as the fork doesn't taper a lot. the answer must be on here somewhere ? -
• #516
I think you can squeeze 38mm with guards on 650b. Genesis say 32mm is max without guards but I'd be interested to see if you get the 35mms on.
I'm currently running 28mm with guards and there's tons of room in the fork and not much in the rear (on the newer thru axle model)
*Edit - Looking back through old emails they told me 30c is the max, that's obviously not right.

There's bags of room at the rear on mine. l could probably fit 32 with mudguards.
the rear design must have changed since the dropouts seem smaller in the newer model. -
• #518
maybe they were assuming knobbly tyres and gave a "secure" answer.
-
• #519
Yea definitely going for the conservative response.
Seems bonkers they'd change the rear design and not allow for bigger tires given current trends and all.

Forum knowledge. What gravel/touring carbon fork with say, front rack eyelets would fit ? straight steerer.
-
• #521
but it's not a gravel. Would be nice if it could do everything, but i am quite happy that it seems to be able to keep up on a fast sunday ride

Had a look at a 2018 Equilibrium non disc model yesterday, looks like it'll take 32's without guards, can anyone confirm this? Also, does anyone know if there is any significant changes from previous models? The 2013 853 frame looks like a much lighter/nicer option if it'll take big tyres.
