  • Looks very aggro. Nice nice. Don't get celeste cables - will look hideous.

  • Hi I am going to Order a Frame end of the Month ,still trying to decide over size I am 6ft 1in(185 cm) with 88 inseam .your personal opinion do you think the 58 would be ok.

  • I'm 6'2 and that's a 56. As you can see in the photos is small with long stem and massive seatpost. Works for me but a 58 would be better in most cases

  • Thanks for quick reply always nice to see how people get on in the teal world. 58 it is then.

    Thanks again
    Neil

  • First timer here, diving back to the road bike scene. Bought a Palace R sz 58 in Jan 2018 ( i am 6-2 with 32" inseam)

Soooooo glad i stumbled upon this page and this thread. My frame is set to be delivered this coming Monday (Los Angeles). @Netakure thanks for all the beautiful pix and input. Your built will help me tremendously.

p.s. not all Taiwanese are lazy haha (i am taiwanese american)

  • How do those 23mm measure up and how’s the clearance? Heard it’s tight at the rear.

  • It's real tight. I guess you can go up to 25 safely, any more than that couldn't say without testing

  • Cheers. My Corsa 25mms hit nearly 29mm on my 19mm internal rims. I think they come up a bit big anyways.

  • For what I've seen wheel diameter could be the biggest concern, so maybe you'll get away with it.

  • Yeah. Might need to upgrade to Red brakes for more clearance.

  • WOOOHOOO....Palace R delivered today

  • Needs a thread plz.

  • Did some brake adjusting and wheel truing today, took the chance to do some pictures of the clearance. Tyres are about 24mm wide

  • Unfortunately I don't have any spare wheel to test bigger tires

  • Cheers - really appreciate those pics. Looks like ample clearance. Still think I will struggle with 25s measuring 28s.

  • If you want to try a 28c gp4000sii on wide rims I have some

  • I'd be surprised if you could fit one of your wheels on this, but worth trying. We'll meet for a ride at some point now that winter is gone

  • My girlfriend got a balance so I finally weighted my bikes. Unsurprisingly the Bowman it's the lightest of the bunch at 7 kg with pedals and a bottle cage.
There's hardly any significant weight savings to be made other than the cassette, still, pretty good for an alloy bike on a budget
