Thank you!

Part of the challenge here must be the monotony of repetition, as compared to riding 2000km point-to-point, balanced by familiarity. Or maybe that isn't the case and each day feels different? Anyway, well done so far WornCleat, looks like you might be done in time to watch David Coulon hopefully reach his finish.

Great ride today, Clive. You're bossing this.

I think I'd feel the opposite way.
Knowing a route would be comforting; having the knowledge that you're capable of it and what lies ahead.
Also, it must reduce the mental stress of the challenge by removing routing issues and unfamiliarity.

Yes. But getting out of your own bed every morning at 5am? Ok if you're in a bnb. And you've to get to the next one. But the temptation to roll over under your own duvet and find an excuse? Hmm....Tough one.

I'm not saying the rest of clives adventure isn't incredibly tough; just that it's a smart decision to repeat a known route.
I've only got a 30 mile a day commute (15e/w) and I've taken the motorbike every day this week...

Great effort Clive. Your persistence and stamina are admirable, and it's a great achievement to ride 1400km in 7 days. Sunday's will feel even better!
Word of warning though. I was wondering whether I'd be up to a challenge like this, and thought that I've never tried to push myself this much, and would probably lack the dedication and motivation. The closest I have ever come was trying to be vegetarian for a month when I was 13. I managed it, and I've been vegetarian ever since.
What if you manage your challenge, but then also find you can't stop, and you end up riding to Cambridge and back every day for the next 16 years?

Amazing stuff @WornCleat - looks like a beautiful day for it too

A bit different from last Friday when @WornCleat started his adventure.

This sounds like a great challenge. The same route aspect must be interesting as well as difficult to see how the same sights look different each day.
Best of luck with the last few days @WornCleat

I just hope John and the staff at the Espresso Library is ready for Day 11 and the fact @WornCleat won't be wandering in for a green tea at his now usual time!
Cracking effort to date, and the end is in sight. Best of luck.

All this riding seems to have done something strange to your accent.

I'm not surprised, in total we had 7.5 hours of riding time, the way home was (for me at least) tiring for the last 50miles and sheer pain for the last 25-30miles.
first time any of us had done that kind of distance, and first time i'd done any kind of distance on that seat (stupidly).

Home over an hour earlier than any previous day. Average moving speed 14.8 mph over 125 miles which is not sloppy.
Huge huge thank you to @cjr for his company, support and encouragement. Surprisingly, I probably only drafted him for 20 or 30 km.
A really enjoyable day out. Will have to see how it impacts on my performance tomorrow. Hopefully the extra hour of recover will be a game changer.

HELP HELP HELP!!
I have managed to really screw things up while doing a simple thing like changing a wheel.
I seem to have got my chain twisted?
Can anyone talk me through what to do?
