Thanks! Shame not to get a win for the last race of the year but Bill Bell pipped me by three seconds. Think he’s reaching his peak while mine was a month ago.
All in all a decent season but it’s made me realise how good it went last year!

Congrats, was going leave message, but didn't know whether you'd be happy or disappointed with 2nd!

Bit disapointed tbh, there was craft beer and coffee beans for the winner!
Pretty wiped out by a couple of weekends of four races, looking forward to putting my running shoes on this winter, in a non competitive capacity.
Having said that, I still have a niggling 7 seconds to knock off my 10k time to break 40 mins...

HED3 and disc wheel (fast tyres and latex tubes) or super lightweight 20mm carbon tubulars (cronos) for Cragg Vale on Tuesday?
7.6km @ 3.8% - 21kph tailwind - probably averaging ~30kph

Aero wins over weight at those speeds, as proved by science!
-

Having ridden that climb several times, definitely go aero. If you lose anything to the extra weight on the steeper middle section you'll gain it all back and more on the long top section which is basically a false-flat.

Thanks for the tips. The race was on Tuesday but unfortunately my ride up to Yorkshire couldn’t make it so I didn’t get to ride ☹️
Bummer as I’ve got some good form just now.

Oh yeah I didn't notice that Tuesday had already happened :D. Shame you didn't get to ride, it's a nice climb as well as being the longest paved incline in Britain.

I guess just the angle. Rotor cranks (which I believe are supposed to be quite stiff) and titanium spindles. If they flexed that much each pedal stroke I'd have thought they'd have snapped by now. Wasn't even MAD torque as by that point I was mashing 52x11 at about 65rpm.
Well done on the 2nd place at Ditchling!
