  • There's a badly listed Specialized Rockhopper Comp on eBay at the moment if anyone's after something like that. £55 BIN with a Planet X frame thrown in.

  • Lots of lovely bikes here since my last post....

    Heres another of mine

Zinn 'Flowers' jo burt tribute, yes the man who brought us all Mint sauce the mountain biking sheep from the MBUK mags

531 frame, 753 fork, Magura, Deore XT, Campagnolo rims and white onza porcupine tyres.

  • Absolutely gorgeous!

  • Stunning!

  • So good. Under the clearcoat?

  • Little project I've started on.

  • Couple of clearcoats, got to go careful with paint pens as too much and it'll run the colours out.

  • Haha love that it's got high rollers on it. what are the semi slicks like? I need something with a bit more tread.

  • It came with a set of Schwalbe Hardliners that I changed out for these. They were kicking about our community workshop and figured would be better for townbiking about. Not had a chance to ride the tyres yet, but I liked that they have the slight tan sidewall. Wish the maxxis.com wasn't as prominant. Any ideas on how to take off the printing?

I've taken the old deer head XT mechs off for a clean and need to replace the middle biopace chainring. Mudguards are on the way out so will either go for Steel VO, GB ones or good old fashion chromoplastics.

  • yeah and that orange line is so early 2000's downhill. Not sure how you'd remove I'm afraid! V cool bike though.

  • I sanded the maxxis logos off of some holy rollers. Crap job but it had the desired effect.

  • Very Nice that. Did I see it Malvern last year.

  • I’m looking for a 15 or 16 inch Kona King Kahuna or Score, having given up on finding a Ti Bolt.

  • Conti Travel Contacts are good for commuting, never had a flat in years.

  • You did,.....

  • I have, but I will happily post it again since you asked 😉. Plus it’s had a bit of a makeover since then. I think it’s the 1995 version and I’m pretty sure it’s a bit bent … not visibly but you have to lean over a fair bit when riding it no handed

  • Have accidentally acquired via a very kind donor what looks like a '95 Palisades Trail... sweet cantis, iffy gripshifters.

Will give it some grease and pootle it around for a while. If it works out, maybe a budget 1x7 on a friction thumbie, fatter tyres, mudguards...

  • Lovely, full of Marin Lite components too, should be a great project!

  • Nice project.

  • Anyone got a 36 / 38t 94bcd (5 arm) chainring they’d be willing to sell on?

  • Bikepunx now make them - they were super helpful getting them made up. If out of stock might be worth emailing them and asking.

  • Found this on the internet while looking for something else completely.

  • Very similar to my Bobcat. Same year as well I think. Geo is slightly different but yours may have a better tubeset I think.

  • OMG this is awsome.
