I do not need a link to this... ;-)
Edit:Whow £700. Is that really the current market?
-
• #3155
Yeah 700, thats steep imo, and I'm no expert but that top tube dent looks a little suspect to me...

It’s not even a Stumpjumper. Basic old tigg’ed frame - albeit with a modern drivetrain and ridiculous ’klunker’ aspirations

Unfortunately dad/wanker bike trends have fucked the market. Shame, as i do miss my old one that i sold on here for £185!

should have added some bokeh to catch that £500 premium

Built this up for a friend but no long wanted, any interest here?

The bike or the friend?

That's a very pleasing, tourer ish take on an old MTB.
-
• #3163
Ha! I'm quite pleased with it. I'll get it listed, should be honest the seat post is stuck. But sure some one could get it out. I just ideally want back the parts cost that is in it.

I'd like to get rid of my bonkers Biopace chainset and go for a single set up.
Can anyone recommend anything?
Ta.

Shimano Zee has worked pretty well for me, clutch is handy for any rough stuff. might be a bit overkill if just pootling about town though.

• #3166
Nice build - got any more pics/listing?

Sensible head says just eBay the Biopace rings and stick on a single NW ring with same BCD. Less sensible head says dump the cranks for Race Face Turbines/Deus etc, ickle 104 BCD NW ring and 9 or 10 speed SRAM X0 at the back.

• #3168
I'm liking the Zee's but £££s
-
• #3169
I'm trying to fight the less sensible idea.😁
It's a Dad bike after all. A half way house is where I'm at.

Yep, I got mine super cheap off the bay thanks to a typo in the listing, otherwise I would have botched something cheaper.
-
• #3171
No listing yet, but taken a load of pictutes if interested.

200GS Exage cranks with the dodgy steel Biopaces removed.
The chainring is an FSA Narrow Wide 110mm BCD
