Release them? Swift dispatch with half a brick in a pillow case...better then being dismembered by dogs.

I grew up in the countryside and remember the ban coming into force. The feeling was very much that it was city types enforcing legislation for votes amongst my friends, but then I went to school with almost exclusively farmer's kids / those who were tied to agriculture in some way. I guess it's being used now in the same vein as all this expert bashing and the "people know best" schtick.
As an aside, from those who I knew who hunted, actually catching a fox was very rare indeed, but that's all anecdotal. The alternative was spotting one whilst out lamping and potting away with a shotgun / .22 rifle which always sounded to me to be pretty grim as a fox would take multiple shots to actually finish. And there was a chance that it'd get away, injured. Both sound like pretty bad ways to go...

Bike polo bats.

Their echo location makes them really difficult to play with.

Some strong working class faces there.

Some well reasoned arguments (although many on here will doubtless disagree with them, and that's fine), but that last paragraph... Wow.

I suggest they come along to a day's hunting. There are people there who are, for lack of a better term, peasants. They are complete chavs.
All I know is that this guy is a number one twat

The countryside alone is amazing, but to explore it in that way with lots of fun people in that group, in that community, is an absolutely amazing antidote to the plod of normal life.
This guy needs to try mountain biking

I see what you did there. If Hillary Benn is against fox hunting, the you should be for it.
Anyone fancy doing urban foxhunting? Was thinking tranquilzer dart guns mounted on your brakless fixy with ultrawide bars.
Then simply get them in lynx's van, drive them somewhere in the sticks and release them.
The country get their sporting foxes, we get less screamy shagging fox noises at night.
