Remember last time round all the polls were predicting a hung parliament. Everyone was astonished when the exit polls showed a small Tory majority.
Don't pay any attention to them, just vote and encourager les autres.

• #2480
This is way too tense.

This isn't tense. Wait til half past ten when the exits come out.
Then it'll either be tense with hope, tense with wait and see, or tense with denial.
Apologies for the Oxford, comma.

Off to the polls with my pen. #nopencils - they won't be stealing my vote.
-
• #2484

My main internal dialogue on this most auspicious of days as I nervously look at the news and see all the sly election shennanigants with people being left off registers and turned away is "I fucking hate this country" then I flick over and see James Comey and I have the premonition that, as ever, the UK will be following close behind the USA and Boris has probably set up a back channel with Azerbajan to hack into Theresa May's operating system and gain himself a promotion to the top spot, and we'll find ourselves a few months down the line having just as unruly and disingenuous a debate about whether we shouldn't just have an absolute monarchy again...

Now now. Let's not judge.
It could just as easily be gays or brown people he objects to.

-

-
• #2494

• #2496
What's wrong with the Oxford comma? Given I get fewer and less wrong, you may have to be gentle.
-
• #2497
Luckily, the Tories have never been known for their racism.
-
• #2498
Sorry, that's a horrible story that deserves more than a glib response.
-
• #2499
Sounds just like the Tory party now..
-
• #2500
ok.
when i was growing up the tory party were conspicuous by their refusal to condemn and in many ways, actively support one of the vilest regimes the planet's ever seen. a regime the labour party played no small part in bringing down thanks to orchestrated trade, cultural and sports boycotts.
not that i suspect you're a tory voter either. i don't know.
horses for courses.
