If Abbott is the best, that womanhood and/or minorities can produce, then they/we have a long way to go, to be regarded as equals.
blergh.
to be fair, this is the spectator - periodical of choice for entitled, embittered arseholes whose levels of impotent male rage are directly disproportionate to penis size.

You mean inversely proportionate. It's the same rule as with pedants.

Unfortunately the prejudice against Abbott is not just prejudice. She does not prepare and she is out of her depth and the Labour party can't fucking afford to keep giving the Tories these gifts.
Absolutely. But she's the first to claim prejudice as an excuse which makes it even worse.
Don't worry she pulled a sicky today anyway.

I thought she'd been banned from making media appearances? She's the Labour party's Inverse BoJo.

Can anyone work out why May is doing an interview with Sky News in a barn surrounded by tractors?
It's not about farming, it's about national security.

http://johnpilger.com/articles/terror-in-britain-what-did-the-prime-minister-know
The unsayable in Britain's general election campaign is this. The causes of the Manchester atrocity, in which 22 mostly young people were murdered by a jihadist, are being suppressed to protect the secrets of British foreign policy.
Critical questions - such as why the security service MI5 maintained terrorist "assets" in Manchester and why the government did not warn the public of the threat in their midst - remain unanswered, deflected by the promise of an internal "review".
The alleged suicide bomber, Salman Abedi, was part of an extremist group, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group, that thrived in Manchester and was cultivated and used by MI5 for more than 20 years.

She's saying that she is very clear on the importance of national security and only her strong and stable leadership can keep our security national. Corbyn and his coalition of chaos cannot be trusted to secure our national security.

Apparently tractors are a vital tool in strong and stable national security. They are also important in breaking cryptography, which is only used by those seeking to undermine our values.
-
• #2046
I mean, what other need is their for cryptography. You only need to fear the authorities if you've something to hide.

Zing!

Isn't the only reason she is shadow home sec because the entirety of the PLP refused to serve under Corbyn?
-
• #2049
It seems it possibly wasn't a very good sicky
(Obviously it's perfectly possible that she was ill at that point but it's not going to go down too well)

These were all John Deere tractors though - aren't they a U.S. company?
Has our tractor-based national security been outsourced to the U.S. too?
Shameful.
Definitely stay away from the comments on that one. F***ing hell...
