Good effort. One of the nice things to come out of this situation is that it’ll give us plenty of time to look after our plants/yards/balconies/gardens.

After a large fiddle-leaf fig, any recommendations for online?
-

We were given one as a wedding present. The label says foreverplants.nl but they seem to be a supplier rather than a stockist. It's reyt nice. This post isn't helpful I realise.
Edit: pretty sure it's the 90cm from Patch. So that's another thumbs up for them.

Inherited this from work on the lockdown.
Anyone know what it is and how I should care for it? Would be great if it grew massive!

I don't know what it is but I have one. I repotted it into a bigger pot with succulent soil and left it on an east facing window sill and it's gone crazy. I water it when the soil is dry up to the first knuckle of my index finger

Looks like Crassula Ovata ("Jade Plant")- here's an article on how to care for it:

Yeah that looks like it might be it!
I will almost definitely overwater it. Never been successful with succulents. How do you know when to water them when the pot is so tiny?
-
• #361
Yea, frankly you do not need to water these a lot (depending how warm and dry it is obviously, but a little sip every 1-2-3 weeks is enough really).
You kinda know they need water when the leaves start to look less chubby

Just looked at my succulent and it has decided to have a massive die off, making me feel very sad, its got a bunch of offshoots, do they normally die after throwing off buds or just a coincidence?

Thanks all. Have asked our local to source one but Patch looking a good backup.

Calatheas – any experts out there?
Ours is a bit all over the place lately, drooping with brown edges to some of the leaves. Soil isn’t particularly moist but my partner is waging a houseplant war on blackfly so I’ve started secretly watering it.

Want to pot on some plants but appears everyone else has had the same idea, no potting compost available online apart from a few ropey ebay shops with steep postage

• #366
Where are you based? Some independent places are doing collection or delivery still. Delivery a bit pricey mind. Homebase are delivering too.
-
• #367
Not London sadly, homebase were sold out of what I wanted and can't find anywhere local with stock, the plants will just have to live that cramped life a while longer

Bought one of these on a whim
but forgot to check what it actually is -
didn’t one of you guys post a picture of a plant like that a while back?
Searched the thread but can’t seem to find it.Would like to know the name and how to care for the little thing ideally
🙂

That's it.
Fantastic, thank you very much!

my local lidl had quite a bit last week IIRC. Might be worth a shot?
-

They deffo don't like dry soil, thats for sure. I also read they don't particularly like tap water, so I've been running mine through a filter first.
if the blackfly is a general problem, maybe remove the top inch of soil and replace? - I'm not an expert, but surely that would get rid of any eggs that haven't hatched?

Ours was also like this last week during the hot days. I gave it a lot of water through no knowledge other than a gut feeling that he was thirsty and he perked up - please excuse the background bike maintenance.
Hope after some water yours did too.

Yep, oxalis triangularis is indeed what it is. Ours is still doing fine although the room it's in is maybe a bit dim.
Reading up on them apparently they can go dormant and trick people into thinking they're dead, so if it all dies back don't panic.
Our just flowered - dainty little things.
Also thanks for yet another thread to follow!
Greg Van Avocadomaet is growing up fast. Didn't really plan what to do with it, just wanted to see if I could grow one.
