I concur. Suits the type of frame superbly

Cheers guys, so stoked on the paint, Euan really knocked it out of the park - white, black, colour, classy, unique - couldn't ask for more!

Good point! I'd not thought of that but yeah could end up ripening with age

Hah that's a lovely finish.

Just seen I never posted a pic of the complete bike
And my favorite detail - an official endorsement from the painter

Very nice, bartape issues aside 😉

Lovely.
Does the sunlight reactive pigment still play any part in the final finish? I'm intrigued...

Haha I know, looked ok for a day in summer, don’t worry it’ll be going back to black shortly!

The Shand road bike has been ridden as above for the past few years and a bunch of parts have simply worn out so it's about time it saw some love. Since moving to Berlin I only really used it for group rides...the pandemic has put pay to those and since building a fat tyre bike I've been riding almost exclusively off road so so it's been living a quiet life on the rollers.
The Flo wheels are dead, 2 front wheels braked through, rear rim cracked and free hub worn out.
Got a new set of wheels built: Hope RS4s on Archetypes, new cassette, chain, saddle, ESI tape
Managed to find a pair of Open Pave's (no green stripe though 😢), haven't ridden them in years and used to love them so jumped on them however when rummaging through my parts box I found a new pair of Veloflex Master 28's and decided to stick them on for summer.
I also stripped the whole bike to clean everything in an ultrasonic bath, everything come out clean and shiny, but the brakes and DNS crank arm came of without the anodising haha
I like the brakes as I'll always chuckle thinking about pulling them out of the bath, the cranks look rough but been meaning to get a Stages powermeter for a while anyway...
All fresh and ready for summer:

Can't wait to take it out for a spin!

Banger. I think it works even with the brakes
Paint is so cool!
