It's basically this you are after, right?
Except with a pump peg, for all those occasions when you don't puncture but need to look on trend
-
• #54
Wait...what's this sorcery. You can build a frame...through cycle to work...
-
• #55
Yep, depending on what scheme you use. Just find a framebuilder who's willing to take it and crack on.

Bollocks...now I have to live with an Arkose...

Uh, basically, or at least a bike to do a similar kind of riding. No pump peg though, just going to jam a Silca in there.
I'm so tempted to get a Equilibrium disc to match my Volare. Pity it doesn't take bigger tyres really :( 32c max apparently.

This Macho King build is rowdy as fuck. Have emailed to see if they've got any of the older style with DT cable routing knocking about.

How about the croix de fer ti?
Could easily paint it to match your Volare, but Ti -

Also on the list to look at -
Fairlight Strael - this looks really good, but might be hampered by the tyre clearance. I'm going to head down to Swift Cycles tomorrow and check them out. Also not 100% on that skinny top tube...
Niner RLT - I keep coming back to these bikes. I can't really get my head around which model or make I'm looking at, but they tick all the boxes and are really well liked.
New Condor Bivio - Seems alright, ticks all the boxes and I get a decent discount off Condor stuff through work. Will wander in and check one out.
As for custom, I would probably go with Quirk or Mecredi because you gots to support your people.

To be honest I think the CdF (and the Equilibrium too) are a bit too relaxed and tour-y for this spec. The thing I like most about the Equilibrium is the paint, and buying a bike for the paint is a piss poor idea.

I do love my RLT and I do all the riding you want a bike for on this! 10/10 would recommend.
Fits 40c with guards and still has room. It also looks pretty.

650b on the Genesis? (just because I want to see if that can be done well)
-
• #64
Some guy on instagram liked my photo, checked his profile and he's just built up a custom painted Equilibrium disc

@Silly_Savage I'm going to email genesis and ask a couple questions...

Considering what you've done with your genesis, I really don't think you have to go out of your way to make a kickass all road ride. Just get an OTP and concoct something knockout

You realise you are employed by the same dudes right?
-
• #68
What's the difference in price between a frameset from each of them?
-
• #70
both will cost significantly more for a frame than I am speculating my entire build will cost.

This All-City is amazing.
-
• #72
Hmmm.
Had a closer look at the All City and I would probably end up on a 49, which is annoying. Also, fully cabled shifters are gunna feel like shit. Hard to justify spending money on a bike which won't look right or shift nice.

Also, fully cabled shifters are gunna feel like shit.
They don't. But I didnt like the top tube routing either. Can easily be changed all of that possibly under £100 plus paint. You could add few more braze ons at the same time like third/anything cage mount and a rando rack(?).
-
• #74
Yep, I might give Winston Vaz a call and see how much he'd charge for the swap, but it's still going to be a 49cm frame...
Off to have a look at a Strael tonight so we'll see what that's saying.

£10-20 each braze on as a baseline rate depending on complexity
I had a 49cm nature boy /csb
Talbot or Saffron
