Nice to hear. Thanks. I am considering one for a while now, weirded out a bit by their two geometry choices though. Faran is a more expensive CdF really?

Have you considered the new Fuji Jari. Seems to tick all the boxes and f&f come at a very affordable $519.

Those were my thoughts. Lack of a tapered HT, along with that gusset made it a no go for me. Looks otherwise perfect.

This whole range is on sale atm if you can get one:

Macho King is about 800 I'm pretty sure? Obviously its your money, but custom Orlo gets you EXACTLY what you want, right down to paint scheme, geometry and all braze ons. Anything else will involve some sort of compromise

Macho King is a grand, but I get trade price and it comes with a fork. You can see how it's an attractive prospect.

We have an Equilibrium Disc at work, if you like I can find out if a 650b wheelset will provide ample clearance.

@MechaMorgan are you still at IW? We get an industry deal with Curve - I am in the same market than you and have done quite a lot of research to find something in between my Volare and my Inflite. The Niner RLT is nice but the BB is very high, although that could me mitigated by 650b wheels. Mason Bokeh would be my first choice but no trade price. Curve Grovel V2 is very tempting (but seems quite heavy?).

I wish, Diamondback US and Diamondback UK seem to be very different beasts, like Raleigh is sadly.

What have you changed so far? When I upgraded mine the easiest way to lighten it up was to swap out the wheels (boat anchors, especially the rear) and the crankset (which weighed a metric fuck tonne).
But I hear you about not getting on with it. I raced mine for two seasons then sold it but I don't miss it a bit.

The search is over... albeit not released yet. Was this at the Cinnamon café this weekend and it was amazing.
The figures work out but the problem is the Shand and the Niner are fairly close to what I want, the original budget of the build was in the ~£700 F&F area. I can get a Macho King for that, or a Twin Six Rando, both of which are also close enough.
I would also not be able to use industry discount, or use C2W on an Orlo.
