Confused by all the options of separate cups and all. Thanks! -

It's a jungle. Thanks Amey!
What is the OLD on this frame; 142 or 135? Doesn't say on the CNC site.
Which brakes are going on this; seeing it's a budget build would that mean mechanical or hydro?

Double post so here's a picture of a dog in a cheese hat.

142 is reserved for through axle isn't it? So it's 135 on this.
Moving the Trp Spyres from my other bike onto this. -

This is a good chart (right click > open image in new tab)

Bb7, allow both pads to be adjusted without needing to adjust cable and compromise braking performance.

Done deal. Thanks much!
Does it work straight out of the box with Centerlock rotors or do I need an adapter?
Soz F for derailment.

Quick mockup with steel forks. Sure looks small with 650b and short headtube.

Looks pretty on trend to me.
What is current bb height? -
• #62
i am contemplating just blatantly copying this. looks fun!

Will measure bb height.
Got hold of a raw/unpainted straight steel disc fork. So i'll paint the fork in matching color, whatever it'll be.
So i'll need to get a headset specific for straight untapered 1 1/8" steerer for 44mm headtube.

S.H.I.S. ZS44/30 bottom cup then. It will also reduce stack as the bearings sit inside HT but can be compensated with fork A-to-C.
Doesent look great but I guess thats not your priority.
Or get a fork made that has tapered steerer tube and a beefy crown that will sit flush against the HT. Kinda like what Tonic Fab do.

I guess you're not alone.
That Talbot fork is sexy.

Thanks. Might have to go that route with integral bottom cup then. Not as pleasing visually but the fork is 408mm a-c so should work pretty well.
Just found this though which is a bit intriguing with 50mm rake and mounts for anything cages. A long 425mm a-c though. Might screw up the geometry.

You can get an external cup with a reducer crown race for 30 mm steerer.
Makes future fork upgradin easier too.
like this:http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/uk-made-headset-complete.htm
plus http://www.superstarcomponents.com/en/crown-race.htmcnc has something too for peanuts...

Heyyy. That was what i was looking for but wasn't aware of it existing for other headsets than CK. Just made things much easier.

It's like a shim. You run a 44mm headset, pop this in and then a 1 1/8th fork will fit.

On the top cup, right?
